FIDAL will be at the EUCNC & 6G Summit 2025 with a dedicated booth featuring demonstrations from both our core Use Cases (UCs) and selected Open Callers (OCs).
These demonstrations highlight real-world applications of advanced 5G technologies and emerging network solutions.
FIDAL will be at Booth 34 showcasing different examples of solutions tested within the FIDAL infrastructure and leveraging on Beyond 5G capabilities:
1. Cross-Project Multimedia Demonstration
A collaboration between ACROSS and FIDAL Project
Demo: A demonstration from ACROSS on the the key Zero-Touch capabilities of the platform, emphasizing on: i) Zero-touch SLA Monitoring and Forecasting, ii) Zero-touch SLA Preservation
These capabilities are integrated and managed through Maestro and OpenSlice; the two pillars of the ACROSS orchestration platform. The demo will showcase how the orchestrators are also employed by FIDAL to demonstrate their orchestration capabilities in large-scale trials of higher technology readiness level.
2. FIDAL Use Case Demonstrations:
Example of large-scale trials at the Victoria Network testbed (University of Malaga) – Presented by UMA
Demo: A video showcasing large-scale trials from Open Callers MC-SEAL, MOBITRUST and UC3 Use Case conducted at the UMA testbed. The video provides an overview of how the trials for the projects were used as a ground to evaluate B5G capabilities to improve MCX for Law Enforcement Agencies in real world-scenarios.
Augmented Reality for PPDR – presented by FORTH partners
Demo: A real-time augmented reality (AR) application used for public protection and disaster relief (PPDR). This demo utilizes Magic Leap 2 smart glasses to display live AR overlays relevant to emergency response scenarios. It demonstrates how 5G network slicing and edge computing enable critical situational awareness for first responders.
Streaming for Media Services presentedby EKT and NOVA
Demo: A video presentation focusing on the use of edge-enabled media delivery networks. This use case explores efficient content distribution for media services over 5G infrastructure, emphasizing reduced latency and improved quality of experience.
3. Open Caller Demonstrations (OC1):
AI-ARMORS: V2X Communication for Safer Mobility presented by University of Thessaly
Demo: A scenario-based demonstration simulating road accidents involving various types of vehicles and vulnerable road users (VRUs) such as bicycles and pedestrians. The use of AI-enhanced vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication enables fast, reliable alerts to avoid collisions, showcasing how network intelligence and 5G can enhance road safety.
B5GVN: Live Media Transmission over 5G presented by LIVEU
Demo: Demonstrates LiveU’s core technology for live video uplink and distribution over 5G networks. The system enables real-time high-quality broadcasting from mobile devices, highlighting the low-latency capabilities of 5G for media production and journalism in dynamic environments.
AI-HOLOCOM: Holographic Communication presented by VICOMTECH
Demo: An immersive communication system based on volumetric video and holography. The demo features a multi-quality video pipeline managed through AI and distributed edge nodes, enabling adaptive video delivery for realistic holographic telepresence with efficient network usage.
MBBPT: Virtual Reality and Haptics Enhanced by 5G presented by University College Dublin, Quanta&Qualia
Demo: A virtual reality setup enhanced with haptic feedback to simulate real-world touch and motion sensations. The demonstration includes immersive VR content streamed with ultra-low latency over 5G, emphasizing the importance of tactile feedback in medical training, remote collaboration, and experiential learning.
You can find FIDAL at Booth 34 in the exhibition area, where we will showcase a range of impactful demonstrations from both our core use cases and open-call partners. These demos explore advanced applications across mobility, media, public safety, immersive experiences, and more — all powered by next-generation network capabilities.
