NOVA (member of the United Group) is telecommunication operator and provider of services to end users. The company is one of the largest alternative fixed operators that provide broadband and pay TV services in Greece, using state‐of‐the art technologies and designing services for the next generation of mobile network architectures. Furthermore, it offers mobile services as an MNO in Greece.

NOVA is the Coordinator of FIDAL project and will also participate in the deployment of the 5G evolution large-scale infrastructure and trials media use cases in Greece and contribute to cross large-scale infrastructure trials.

eBOS is an innovative and client-focused Cypriot owned SME, established in 2003 in Nicosia, providing technologically-advanced e-business software solutions to enterprise customers on a worldwide basis. 

eBOS is the Quality and Risk Manager of the project and will also support the design and development of an AIaaS module oriented to support intelligent experimentation regarding vertical deployment on the network. In addition, eBOS will also contribute to the evaluation, deployment, and integration of the various testbeds and large-scale infrastructure components of the project during the large-scale trials and the Open Call trials.

ATH serves the full spectrum of the research lifecycle, starting from basic and applied research, continuing on to system & product building and infrastructure service provision, and ending with technology transfer and entrepreneurship. The fundamental role of Athena RC is to build knowledge and devise solutions and technologies for the digital society. Its value lies in the unique collection of skills and know-how of its researchers and professional staff and its national and international reputation.

During the project’s lifetime, ATH/ISI will offer its expertise on AI/ML (e.g., Deep Reinforcement Learning) based orchestration and automation solutions, as well as one of FIDAL repositories.

PIIU is a non-profit organisation specialized in Innovation Management, with the mission of creating value and facilitating linkage between academia and industry, with specific focus on the Technology Innovation domain. PIIU promotes innovation by providing support services to our associates and to private and public organizations in innovation processes, technology transfer, and funding for research and development.

In FIDAL, PIIU will be responsible for the organisation and realisation of the Open Calls.

IQUis an SME offering innovative and customizable platforms that integrate cutting-edge telecommunications and networking technologies for a wide portfolio of emerging applications.

IQU contributes to one of FIDAL’s testbeds and is responsible for the development of the Network Applications service catalogue and contributes to the zero-touch orchestration solution.

The Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory of ICS-FORTH, was established in 1989, is an internationally recognised centre of excellence. HCI is a horizontal dimension in the development of all types of ICT applications and services.

FORTH will provide the Use Case of XR-assisted Services for public safety, assess the "Rapid scene analysis based on ML algorithms" software over the FIDAL testbeds​ and develop the Network Application of an AR-AI pipeline for real-time identification and annotation of persons and objects​.

Building on its success, the company has had its own cloud platform since 2007 and has developed numerous technologies and now masters the entire digital video sector. The company is now one of the French leaders capable of offering a global offer for all digital video services, and has an integrated Cloud platform.

EKT will provide a Network Application as well as companion applications (Smartphone app, video encoder, streamer and player) and will also contribute to the Use Case about Virtual Reality Networked music performance.

Airbus DS SLC is the European leader for Mission Critical and Business Critical communication and collaborations solutions, with 30 years in this domain

In FIDAL, ADS will provide the Network Application for Mission Critical Multimedia Communication and Collaboration for the PPDR Use Case.

PSCE, the Public Safety Communications Europe Forum was established as a result of a European Commission funded project in 2008. Since then, PSCE has evolved into an independent forum, where representatives of public safety user organisations, industry and research institutes can meet to discuss and exchange ideas and best practices, develop roadmaps and improve the future of public safety communications. PSCE is a permanent autonomous organisation, working to foster excellence in the development and use of public safety communication and information management systems by consensus building.

During FIDAL’s lifetime, PSCE will be responsible for the dissemination, communication and exploitation activities, while at the same time will identify and collect the requirements that will shape FIDAL’s architecture and the Use Case’s methodology. Last, but not least, PSCE will monitor technology validation and the evaluation of results.

p-NET is the first Competence Center in Greece for Emerging Smart Networks 5G & beyond and Services. It is comprised by a partnership of twenty two shareholders representing big and established companies, SMEs, public and private higher and lifelong education institutions, research organizations, consulting, and entrepreneurship support companies.

PNET is the Technical Manager of FIDAL and, along with UOP, will also offer a testbed for validating lab tests. In addition, PNET will support 3 of the project’s Use Cases, and more specifically the “Digital Twin for first responders”, the “Advanced sports media services” and the “XR assisted services for public safety” Use Cases.

The University of Patras was founded in the city of Patras in 1964 and is the third largest University in Greece in terms of students, faculty members, administrative personnel, number of departments and degrees awarded. UOP includes 35 Departments covering a wide range of disciplines. It also hosts 161 laboratories and 17 fully equipped clinics. Besides its distinguished path in education, the University excels in various fields of basic and applied research. The University has acquired international prominence in research areas such as Health, Environment, Biotechnology, Mechanics, Electronics, Informatics and Basic Science, and a number of its academic Departments, laboratories and clinics have been recognized as centres of excellence on the basis of international assessment.

Apart from offering a testbed, together with PNET, for validating lab tests, UOP will also deploy, operate and manage an open 5G/NFV infrastructure in the area of Patras, Greece.

TID will lead the Market Assessment, technology monitoring and standardization. TID, in partnership with UMA, will support Malaga Testbed. TID will lead FIDAL APIs exposure bringing Release 17 CAPIF implementation and will support CAPIF integration. 

The University of Malaga is a leading academic institution located in the southern region of Spain. It offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in areas such as engineering, business, law, social sciences, and humanities. Its research activities are internationally recognized, with special emphasis on areas such as biotechnology, information technology, and renewable energies.

UMA is the operator of the Victoria Testbed and will lead the definition and execution of testing methodologies for the validation of the testbeds and large-scale facilities, while supporting the testing of Use Cases at the Victory Network. In addition, UMA will offer its experience in big data, data mining and data analytics.

Its activities focus mainly in the development of Turn-Key Software Applications and Solutions targeted for Telecoms, Health and Energy industries of Private and Public sector. Our portfolio provides solutions and services in the field of Business Intelligence, Contextual Marketing, Next Generation Interactive Communication, eHealth while we complement our offering with the provision of custom-made solutions and on-demand professional services.

Within the project, APPART will design and implement the KPI Visualization Platform for data collection, KPI calculations and data visualization as well as undertake the deployment of the FIDAL components to all testbeds and large-scale infrastructures.

With core technology built on open standards, the company offers an extensive range of mission critical enterprise solutions empowering governments and businesses around the world to make better and faster operational decisions.

In FIDAL, STWS will offer and lead the Use Case about Digital Twin for first responders, aiming at stretching requirements and KPIs towards 5G evolution.

During the project’s duration, OWO will participate in the Use Case about Internet of Senses/Haptic sensing, and will additionally provide a streaming Network Application, implementing the 5G Streaming functions in order of sending sensations in real time.

ORamaVR is a deep technology startup innovating the field of Medical Metaverse and has created a highly optimized, low-code, Medical VR Authoring Platform SDK.

The company participates in FIDAL by leading the Use Case that deals with XR-assisted Services for public safety.
